George Flanagin is the University of Richmond's Computational Support Specialist. George joined University of Richmond in 2013 with 30 years of IT background at VCU, Capital One Bank, Hewlett Packard Labs, and Boeing Military Aircraft. At UR, he has developed software systems in Python for Linux, using Oracle and SQLite databases. His experience with high performance computing began with the Cray XMP in 1986.
George's current areas of research interest are Natural Language Processing in English and Spanish, synthetic text generation, simulations, and data analysis using Python and pandas.
